I won't continue working on a mod where I feel there is no longer any interest (including my own). ![]() In this view, I felt like no one cared and wanted to see this to completion besides myself and some others at times. So we had barely anyone wanting to help sincerely, and I had very few chances to play test the mod with anyone. ![]() Others offered to join the team, but did not offer any help, except for some ideas that would have taken hours upon hours of work to redo existing game mechanics. Unfortunately Andrew stopped working on the project to pursue work on other games, and the Roman buildings will not be in the mod. I've been very gracious to have them devote their time to this mod. Sylwester has made nearly all of the units, aside from the few that I have made, and Andrew worked on the Roman buildings. I was planning on leaving this mod after the Assyrian and Babylonian building sets were done, but two other modders joined me that kept me motivated, Sylwester and Andrew. All fault for this project being incomplete can be rested on me, whether not working hard enough, or not having the required skills to bring it to fruition. I would not be able to complete this project to any comparability to a game with a whole dedicated team behind it. Age of Empires: Definitive Edition will be a much better project than I would ever be able to complete. While it's been fun, I feel there isn't any reason to continue working on this. I've worked on this project for over 2 and a half years now, although I've taken several long lengths of time off, so it hasn't been wholly continuous. To download alpha version fo the mod check this site: But there will be new units to keep the gameplay fair and all units viable each age, unique units for each civilization, kings (essentially the explorers in AoE3), and the deck system from AoE3, new maps, etc. There will be several new additions to the game that makes it feel like a blend of AoE1 and AoE3 buildings, units and sounds will be from AoE1. We are working hard to recreate old AoE1 on the engine of AoE3. At the begin mod was creating by yohomes from, but now our team has 3 people: yohomes, StormAndy and me - Forsant. I want to present a mod Age of Empires HD Edition, mod for Age of Empires 3.
